…And not that I need to be doing any wedding planning… but I am in love with the idea of bridesmaids wearing cowboy boots. Really, I’m just in love with cowboy boots, I love the whimsy and fun they add to a look. I realize that I am Washington born and raised, and for the greater portion of my life have hated country music, but there is still this part of me that wishes I lived somewhere like Franklin, Tennessee. Ok, there is a BIG part of me that wishes I lived in exactly Franklin, Tennessee… and could have this exact wedding featured on Once Wed… but you get the point. :-)

I’m such a fan!

This video makes me want to:

  • a) drive at night in the summer time
  • b) sing along in 1/3 harmonies
  • c) move to Nashville ASAP
  • d) call Amanda
  • e) heck! Better yet, drive at night in the summer singing 1/3 harmonies WITH Amanda (preferably in Nashville)
  • f) love being young

I’ve been listening to this song for literally years and every time I’m filled with hope and excitement. It’s palpable.  And now there is this super fun video to go along with it. I love the polaroids. The quality of this one isn’t great, but you get the general idea :-) . Enjoy!

After living in the Pacific Northwest for over 24 years, I finally broke down and bought a fleece a few weeks ago. I think I may literally be the last Seattlite to get one. I had always been really resistant to fleeces because I never really saw any beauty in them. Sure, they are incredibly functional- especially living in Seattle, but I have always been a fashion over function kind of girl and had never found one that I actually wanted to wear. Until a few weeks ago! Funny thing is, it took friends visiting from Nashville to inspire me to get one. A few weeks ago some dear dear friends of mine visited Seattle from Nashville and three were sporting these irresistibly soft Patagonia fleeces in these gorgeous  tan and ruby shades, and the texture looks almost like fur- I would never actually wear fur (gross) – but I think is almost whimsical. When I asked where they got them they said, “Oh, this outdoorsy store in Nashville… y’all probably don’t have any stores like that here in Seattle, do you ?” ;-) Riiight. I know of about 20. Here are some shots of me and my new love, “Patty”.  Oh, and he’s made from 100% recycled fibers. We are very happy together.

Hi!

My name is Megan. I’m a twenty-something girl, living in Seattle, working, living, running, laughing, baking, singing, and being constantly inspired by the glory of God manifested in the beauty of the world around me. I see beauty in a dress, a photo, a thoughtfully decorated room, my friends, a pair of shoes, a cupcake, a song, a flower arrangement. And this is where it all comes together.
