This weekend I made a visit to Bellingham to meet the one and only Isla Marie Louws. Let me tell you, she is PRECIOUS and so GORGEOUS (that’s for you, BJ). New mom, Rachel, was gracious enough to let me do a LOT of holding so Isla and I became good friends quickly.
I LOVE the name Isla, love that there aren’t many names that start with the letter I, and took advantage of her special name when thinking of something to gift this new little one. Below is the outcome.

Fall is obviously here and as the weather has finally changed here in Seattle, I have been keeping busy with lots of indoor activities:

{Macaroons for Dad’s birthday present (Happy Birthday, Dad! Love you!)}

{Yellow cupcakes with milk chocolate frosting (Dad’s fave- also for the birthday celebration).}

{Finished my first ever crocheted blanket and sent it off to Nat and Jules as a housewarming gift.}

{And finally hung this lantern in my room that I bought several months ago.}
Productive or what? And it’s only October! So many more project ideas…
I hope you are enjoying fall as much as I am!

I adore this lunch bag for lots of reasons:
1- it’s a homemade craft
2- the notebook-paper-inspired fabric that was used
3- the adorable choice of words written on the bag. I don’t know about you, but lunch is often a definite highlight in my work day and I love how this lunch bag project gives verbage to that love.

Happy Friday!

if I did a Paint-By-Number?
I have seriously loved doing them in the past, however can never find one I actually wanted to put on display in my home (Noah’s ark, anyone?), much less gift to anyone. So, I just end up doing them and then throwing them away or giving them to the Goodwill (God bless whoever may have payed any amount of money for one of my creations).
But I think they can look kind of cool… right? Am I way off base? Probably…
However, my prayers have been answered, problem solved! Rachel found this awesome software that can turn any picture into your very own custom paint-by-number! Wa whoo! Gone are days of waterfalls and cats sitting on window sills! The possibilities are endless…
Cool, right?.. Right?!
