Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you’ve had a wonderful holiday filled with all the love this season brings. I am feeling so filled and blessed and inspired for 2012 and hope you are too.
I have had the most wonderful Christmas and New Year’s and am now enjoying just a few days off after a very busy month of work. The excitement continues into January as my mom and brother come into town this week, some of my very best friends have just moved back to Seattle from LA and Portland, and there are a few important birthdays to celebrate this month as well.
I had the pleasure of helping lead worship at my church’s Christmas Eve services again this year and cannot stop dwelling on the power of the message that night. I hope you don’t mind jumping back a week or two with me to revisit Christmas, but I am still reeling from it and can’t help but share it here. I also wish more than anything that everyone could have the experience of standing in front of a congregation, watching it fill with light as people pass the light of their candle to the sound of hundreds of voices singing Silent Night. Someday when I look back at my life, I will count it as one of my very favorite moments. I don’t know what this Christmas season meant to you, or if you thought much about what the birth of Jesus means for you in your life, but it means the world to me and if if you have a few minutes I hope you can benefit from listening to this message as much as I have.
Wishing you a blessed 2012!
xo,
Meg
